The police in Agogo have conceded that the eviction of Fulani herdsmen in Agogo in the Ashanti Region will bring relief to farmers and residents of the area.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”1cf5zLmldvwOVUqBqjjzwDvBJysj5fmj”]They claim \u00a0over the years, they have received numerous complaints from farmers about the destruction of their farms by cattle belonging to the Fulani herdsmen.<\/p>\n
The Ashanti Regional Security Council has announced the reintroduction of the \u201cOperation cow leg\u201d in a renewed effort to evict Fulani herdsmen and their cattle from Agogo.<\/p>\n
Residents of Agogo have in the past demanded the eviction of Fulani herdsmen from the area citing their alleged destruction of their farms and other assault claims.<\/p>\n
They have been accused of rape, murder and thievery.<\/p>\n
But speaking to Citi News<\/strong> the Agogo Police Commander ASP George Amponsah said the ejection of the herdsmen will bring joy to the farmers saying the \u201cfarmers have been aggrieved for long.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey are not happay about what is going on. As you know, the situation has been outstanding for a very long time.
