{"id":82648,"date":"2015-01-15T13:37:06","date_gmt":"2015-01-15T13:37:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=82648"},"modified":"2015-01-15T13:38:35","modified_gmt":"2015-01-15T13:38:35","slug":"mmt-staff-willing-provide-evidence-mmt-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/01\/mmt-staff-willing-provide-evidence-mmt-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Metro Mass Staff to provide investigators with evidence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The workers of the Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMT) have told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> they are ready to substantiate their allegations of malfeasance against the Deputy Managing Director.<\/p>\n<p>President John Mahama has<a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/01\/15\/metro-mass-board-dissolved\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong> dissolved the board of the MMT<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and asked its Managing and Deputy Managing Directors, Noble John Appiah and John Awuku Dzuazah to step aside for investigations to begin.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;XujX0abrKFirTHCr9S2OacRs48w0nsXU&#8221;]The workers are alleging that the board chair and the Deputy Managing Director were responsible for the disappearance of 12 buses belonging to the company.<\/p>\n<p>They also accused them of financial misappropriation and have asked for his dismissal.<\/p>\n<p>The Transport Minister, Dzifa Ativor promised to investigate and address their concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Citi News, the Divisional Union Chairman of the MMT Junior staff, Joseph Kesse Ahenkorah welcomed the President\u2019s decision, but prayed for a swift investigation process to bring a closure to the matter.<\/p>\n<p>He alleged that the Deputy Managing Director had taken some of the Metro Mass buses \u201cand they have become his personal properties and so that is our worry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the workers have evidence and are willing to provide them to the investigation team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have the evidence but we are just waiting for the final verdict; otherwise, we can come out with the evidence that we have. We are having the evidence so we are not lying and we can prove to Ghanaians that we are saying the truth,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ahenkorah was optimistic that the investigations ordered by the President will prove their case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know that this is not going to be the final verdict from the President.
