{"id":8231,"date":"2014-03-24T15:58:17","date_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:58:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=8231"},"modified":"2014-03-24T15:58:17","modified_gmt":"2014-03-24T15:58:17","slug":"release-funds-to-complete-accra-suhum-road-suhum-chief-demands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/03\/release-funds-to-complete-accra-suhum-road-suhum-chief-demands\/","title":{"rendered":"Release funds to complete Accra-Suhum road \u2013 Suhum Chief demands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/muddy-road.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8233\" alt=\"muddy road\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/muddy-road.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/muddy-road.jpg 480w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/muddy-road-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a>The Chief of Suhum in the Eastern Region, Osabarima Ayeh Kofi I is appealing to government to release funds for the completion of the Accra-Suhum road.<\/p>\n<p>Construction work on the road, which begun six years ago has stalled due to lack of funds.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <b>Citi News<\/b>, Osabarima Ayeh Kofi said initially the construction was supposed to take about 39 months but 5 years has gone by without any progress on the construction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the funding is not forthcoming both from the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and from the Member of Parliament\u2019s end,\u201d he said<\/p>\n<p>He further appealed to the Minister of Finance and the President to find a lasting solution to the problem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are all expecting that funds will be made available for the completion of the road.
