Over 300 aspirants have filed their nominations with the Electoral Commission to contest the impending\u00a0District Assembly and Unit Committee elections in the Tamale Metropolitan Area.<\/p>\n

Ten aspirants have filed for the Dohin-Naayili electoral area whilst twelve aspirants filed for the Bilpela electoral area.<\/p>\n
The Kukuo electoral area has four aspirants contesting; Danjumah Lukman Sayibu, Abdulai Ziblim Hafiz, Adam Awal and Mohammed Laminu Awal.<\/p>\n
The 28-year old Danjumah Lukman Sayibu told Citi News<\/strong> he was motivated by the youth of Kukuo to join the contest.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you go to the grassroot everybody thinks I can do the job, some people came to me personally and said I should come out and contest: the youth, the elderly, the chiefs and the Imams are behind me and I won\u2019t put them in shame.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cI have seen that development of the Kukuo area is very down: since we were young growing up they always chose the elderly that they thought could do the work and this is the time for we the youth to come on board.\u201d<\/p>\n All the aspirants have intensified their campaigning in their various electoral areas.<\/p>\n
