Investigations are underway to find the perpetrators of the fire which razed down the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) warehouse at the Aflao sub-station in the Volta Region.<\/p>\n

Some equipment which were purchased to upgrade the sub-station was not speared in the fire outbreak on Sunday.<\/p>\n
According to an official at the sub-station who spoke to Citi News<\/strong> on condition of anonymity, the installation of the equipment was to be carried out on Monday.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n He told Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0the fire started in a bush behind the yard of the sub-station but the dry weather conditions made the fire rapidly spread into the yard of the sub-station.<\/p>\n Power has been cut to neighbouring communities\u00a0although the main sub-station has been spared.<\/p>\n On Saturday, the Melcom shopping mall’s warehouse and service centre<\/strong><\/span><\/a> at the North Industrial area in Accra was gutted by fire.<\/p>\n Prior to that, a six year old<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and a nine month old baby<\/strong><\/span><\/a> were killed in another fire outbreak in Osu in Accra.<\/p>\n
