The Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP) has admonished the Mahama-led government to spare Ghanaians the pain of the poor management of the economy in 2015.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”RhNxw7HL0F4L54m4jmNrd1cRfBT1hZHs”]The party also wants government to bring progress and development to citizens because the country has seen little or no development under the six-year administration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/p>\n
A statement signed by the National Secretary of the PPP, Kofi Asamoah-Siaw said: \u201cThe PPP wishes to remind the NDC government that we need salvation from another year of economic hardship.\u201d<\/p>\n
2014 has been described my many as a difficult year for Ghana following the high rise in cases of corruption<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, intensified power crisis and depreciation of the cedi which is affecting businesses, huge public wage bill, among others.<\/p>\n Government is however in talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a three-year bailout programme<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and the President has promised that the socio-economic situation will improve in the coming years.<\/p>\n Nonetheless, the PPP has charged the current political leaders to use their expertise \u201cto give back progress and development to the people and save us from the economic hardships experienced in 2014.\u201d<\/p>\n
