Coconut Grove Hotels, an indigenous Ghanaian-owned chain of Hotels\u00a0in Elmina, Accra and Obuasi, has been awarded by the Ghana Tourism Authority at their 2014 awards night hosted last Friday December 19, 2014 at the Banquet Hall of the State House.<\/p>\n
Coconut Grove Hotels is owned by Dr. and Mrs. Papa Kwesi Nduom and is a member of the Groupe Nduom Group of Companies.<\/p>\n
At the rather impressive dinner dance that the Hotels also catered for by serving very sumptuous meals, Ghana’s rich cultural dances were at the their best display.<\/p>\n
The award citation read as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n ‘Coconut Grove Hotels, An Indigenous Business In The Tourist Accommodation Sector, Has Grown From Humble Beginnings To Become The Brand Of Choice For Both Domestic And International Clients.<\/p>\n The Huge Investments Made Resulted In The Opening of Branches in Obuasi, Elmina and Accra, all Leading To Job Creation For Many Ghanaians.<\/p>\n The Recent Celebration of 20 Years Of Operation By The Coconut Grove Beach Resort and Conference Center, Elmina Lends Credence To The Fact That Indigenous Business Can Succeed In Ghana.<\/p>\n The Award Is In Recognition of Coconut Grove Hotels Contribution To The Hotel Industry And Consistent Support For The Sector As a whole’.<\/p>\n Coconut Grove Hotels has been very consistent in using mainly made in Ghana products including local furniture, staff uniforms, burnt bricks, pots and artifacts. Coconut Grove Hotels is the only hospitality facility in Ghana that has been committed to serving only locally grown Ghanaian rice and chicken consistently for the last 10 years.<\/p>\n The year 2014 has been a good year of recognition for the Hotels’ excellence in delivering ‘memories worth repeating’ to its patrons. Coconut Grove Beach Resort and Conference Center, Elmina was adjudged by the Ghana Tourism Authority as the best Hotel in the entire Central Region of Ghana.<\/p>\n Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Accra was adjudged as the best Hotel in all of Ghana by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) at its annual awards night held on November 22, 2014. At the same event, Groupe Nduom, the conglomerate that Coconut Grove Hotels is a member of also won an award at the same AGI’s awards.
