The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has promised to work harder to retain the party in power in 2016.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, Asiedu Nketia said the new NDC leadership has all it takes to make history in 2016.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2026I can tell you we will make it. I\u2019m very impressed about the team that has come on board and I think that together with the wonderful presidential candidate we will would have no problem making the history that we want are about to make.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”hAUl8pULV5TyGmBl9WbK7Srz0oPyFcKc”]The party\u2019s General Secretary said though the 2016 elections is fraught with various challenges, the party will make history in the upcoming year.<\/p>\n The NDC will be the first party to stay in power for three consecutive terms if it wins the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n Asiedu Nketsia maintained his position as the party\u2019s General Secretary by polling 2,385 <\/a><\/strong><\/span>while\u00a0Farrakhan his contender managed only 606 votes.<\/p>\n
