The officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) have began counting the votes of the 3,354 delegates’ of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)\u00a0who voted in Saturday’s national delegates’ congress.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”j7Vmdr6SVTdVB9xkgyjrxo0Ei6yDMHO0″]Voting began after midday after key some personalities in the party including its founder, ex-President John Rawlings addressed the delegates’<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>on the way forward for the party.<\/p>\n

98 persons were aspiring<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to various national executive positions in the NDC but a national chairman aspirant, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya withdrew his candidature<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>a few minutes to the commencement of the election process.<\/p>\n

The 97 aspirants are seeking to occupy 11 national executive positions of the NDC.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the EC has announced that only one agent of each candidate is being allowed to witness the counting process.<\/p>\n
