With barely 24 hours to the national delegates congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has assured that everything needed to make the congress successful on Saturday is ready.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show<\/strong> on Friday, General Mosquito said the preparation for the election is 100 percent.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cOur preparation for the election is 100 percent at this stage; because we opened nominations, closed nominations, did vetting, qualified candidates selected, positions on ballot paper determined, ballot papers have been printed, delegates list have been compiled and agreed upon\u2026\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”JfrP7pW6xTq7SX8QEtpBwbZXY8Ex0Rqv”]According to him, the Electoral Commission (EC) has also been alerted and have made preparations for the number of polling stations that will be opened on the day.<\/p>\n \u201cI will say that at this stage all is set for the elections and we have invited our friends from the other political parties ,\u2019\u2019 Mr. Asiedu Nketia told Citi Breakfast Show<\/strong> host, Bernard Avle.<\/p>\n General Mosquito also revealed that his biggest challenge is to combine his role as the main organizer for the delegates\u2019 congress and campaigning for re-election.<\/p>\n About 4, 000 delegates are expected to converge on the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, the venue for the event.<\/p>\n The congress has 84 Ministers of state, 216 Metropolitan\/Municipal\/District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), 147 Members of Parliament (MPs), 30 National Executives, and 10 NEC members as delegates.<\/p>\n
