Over 500 health promotion workers under the Better Ghana Management Services (GMS) in the Upper East region are threatening to take legal actions against the company over unpaid salaries.<\/p>\n
The workers say after the termination of their appointments in March, the company has only paid three months out of the eight months outstanding arrears owed them.<\/p>\n

According to Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0Upper East Regional correspondent, Fred Awuni, \u201cthe workers have appealed to government to intervene within the shortest possible time or they will seek legal action against better management services.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey owed 8 months as of the time the contract was terminated that is March 2014, they came in May and paid us three months , still owing five months\u2026If we don\u2019t hear anything within the week, we will go on streets. If nothing is still said, we will seek legal action.We are pleading with the government to do something about it,\u201d an aggrieved employee said.<\/p>\n \u201cThey told us they are going to clear everything. When we were supposed to go for the payment, it was only three weeks.
