An Accra circuit court presided over by Justice Francis Obiri has dismissed a bail application filed by the alleged accomplices of Ruby Adu Gyamfi alias Nayele Ametefe, the woman who was busted in the UK for carrying cocaine.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”Fkv5hB6I56pbiMX1CJKQRZckbu5O5Yti”]The accused persons, Alhaji Dawood, a businessman<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, Nana Akua Amponsah and Sadalia Sandra Nuhu and other three officials of the Kotoka International Airport, are facing prosecution charges in Ghana for the role they played in aiding Nayele Ametefe to transport 12kg cocaine into the UK.<\/p>\n During proceedings in court on Friday, lawyers for the accused persons argued that the facts as presented by the prosecution did not support the charges proffered against their clients.<\/p>\n The case has been adjourned to December 22.<\/p>\n Alhaji Dawood, has been accused of facilitating Nayele\u2019s access through the VVIP lounge<\/strong><\/a><\/span> at the Kotoka International Airport into the British Airways flight.<\/p>\n The two other ladies have been \u00a0accused of travelling with Nayele<\/strong><\/a><\/span> but abandoned their luggage and managed to abscond after she was arrested at the Heathrow Airport.<\/p>\n
