The Ashanti Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has secured over two thousand beds in different hotels for delegates of the party ahead of the December 20, congress<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n The party said they have also concluded arrangements with the security agencies to ensure a successful congress.<\/p>\n Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, Raymond Tandoh told Citi News<\/strong> all other requirements for a successful congress have been met.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”uVnnMNY0ZMDi3VjMGGDzanfvqtpOuXJS”]He said, \u201cthe venue, the Baba Yara Sport stadium\u00a0has been secured. We have formed the various committees; the security committee, the secretariat, the accreditation committee, the ground committee, the general planning committee and food and water.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe have secured about 2,000 beds in hotels in Ashanti Region.\u00a0We expect everybody to be at the stadium with their accreditation and other things. Accommodation we don\u2019t have any problem. I can tell you we are set and everything is set,\u201d Mr\u00a0Tandoh added.<\/p>\n About 4,000 delegates are expected to participate in the congress.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, one of the aspirants in the race has dragged the NDC to court.<\/p>\n Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye, Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North, who is vying for the National Organizer slot sued the party claiming he was wrongfully disqualified<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n He claims he has enough evidence to prove that some leaders of the party schemed to get him out of the race.<\/p>\n The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Kofi Adams has however assured that the party will allow Didieye to contest<\/strong><\/a><\/span> in the party\u2019s congress only if the party loses the court case.<\/p>\n Kofi Adams who was speaking on Eyewitness News<\/strong> said, \u201cIf it goes his way what it means is that we are going to have a contest with him as a contestant.\u201d<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin Allotey Akweiteh\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n
