Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kwaku Ampofo Duku, the Deputy Regional Commander, told a media briefing that pump action guns, locally made pistol, military uniform, mobile phone, cartridges and quantity of dried leaves believed to be Cannabis were ceased from them.<\/p>\n

They were arrested following the extra ordinary display of bravery by people in the local community who engaged the robbers and managed to over-power the three as the rest slipped through with the booty.<\/p>\n
ACP Duku also spoke of how police officers on routine patrol duty on the Kumasi -Obuasi road intercepted a taxi car carrying another gang of suspected robbers on robbery mission at about 2300hours on December 7.<\/p>\n
Kwabena Brobbey, Baba Saeed Yussif, Kwame Yeboah, Kwadwo Asare, Mohammed Hamza, and Joseph Salifu had hidden a locally made pistol, 12 \u201cAA\u201d and \u201cBB\u201d cartridges, a kitchen knife and substance believed to be Cannabis in a black hat and concealed it in the taxi.<\/p>\n
Also among the suspects are a sprayer, James Donkor and a mechanic Kwabena Gyau who are said to have aided the robbers to change the colour and given a different look to the stolen vehicles.<\/p>\n
Three cars a Daewoo Martiz, Opel Corsa and Nissan Almera were recovered from their workshops.<\/p>\n
ACP Duku announced the re-capture of one of the two robbery suspect who escaped from police cell at Suame.<\/p>\n
Kofi Kyei Baffour was hiding at Ahenema-Kokoben and was tracked down and arrested based upon police intelligence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
