{"id":7275,"date":"2014-03-20T10:34:49","date_gmt":"2014-03-20T10:34:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=7275"},"modified":"2014-03-20T11:24:08","modified_gmt":"2014-03-20T11:24:08","slug":"mahama-and-ghanaians-are-liars-prof-adei-insists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/03\/mahama-and-ghanaians-are-liars-prof-adei-insists\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahama and Ghanaians are liars &#8211; Prof Adei insists"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_7279\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7279\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Prof-Adei.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7279\" alt=\"Professor Stephen Adei\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Prof-Adei-300x230.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"230\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Prof-Adei-300x230.jpg 300w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Prof-Adei.jpg 468w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7279\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Professor Stephen Adei<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei, says he stands by his comments in which he described President John Dramani Mahama and his Ministers as a bunch of liars.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Adei is reported to have described the President and members of his government as liars when he spoke as a guest speaker during a marriage seminar in Tema.<\/p>\n<p>But explaining his point on the <strong>Citi Breakfast Show<\/strong> on Wednesday, Professor Adei reiterated that \u201cwe live in a country where the President, the Ministers and everyone is lying including you the journalist\u2026\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>According to him parents lie to their children from the \u00a0beginning. \u201cParents tell their children I am going here when the child is crying\u2026; we start from the beginning lying to each other and it has gone up to become a national psyche and this does not breed no trust,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President, the Ministers and everyone is lying and that must stop if we are going to make it because we need trust,\u2019\u2019 he opined.<\/p>\n<p>He also said until we all face the truth that we are all living a lie, then we can\u2019t move on as a nation. \u201cIf we are not going to face the truth that the President, the Minister and all of us are living a lie we will not even begin\u2026\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>He noted that what Ghana needs is truth. \u2018\u2019Let us face the truth and then rally ourselves around \u00a0to really do what it takes for our nation to become the land we are looking for,\u2019\u2019 he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>He is of the view that although it was going challenging, \u201cif we want to have a good economy and develop the country, we have to buckle up as a country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The educationist further called for a change in leadership behaviour and adopt a national approach to governance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Evans Effah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei, says he stands by his comments in which he described President John Dramani Mahama and his Ministers as a bunch of liars.
