on<\/span> the road and the bridge.<\/p>\nThe President used the opportunity to appeal to motorists to bear with government and the contractors as they work to solve the problem.<\/p>\n
He stated that government is aware of the inconvenience the situation is causing to commuters saying, \u201cwe are craving the indulgence of motorists to just bare with us a little while a quick fix is done to bring the bridge back in use.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to him, the road engineers have been asked to open one lane of the road to reduce \u201cthe congestion that we are seeing and it\u00a0is my hope that soon, this problem will be resolved.\u201d<\/p>\n
The President disclosed that government<\/span> is currently in talks with some investors to \u201cre-do the whole motorway into a new six lane road\u201d and that project will begin immediately after procurement is completed.<\/p>\nHe however<\/span> cautioned motorists to drive with caution while repair works are ongoing.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
