could cause the defeat of the NDC<\/strong><\/a><\/span> in the 2016 general elections.<\/p>\nEven though the DCE’s dismissal is not directly linked to the agitations of the youth,\u00a0their spokesperson Ishmael Sung commended President Mahama for the action in an interview with Citi News<\/strong>, adding that \u201cwe knew the president will do the right thing because everything was very wrong; the lady was incompetent and not on top of issues.\u201d<\/p>\nHe therefore pleaded to the government to look at the issues in the district and find a capable person for the position.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey should bring in a bridger, a unifier, somebody who will be neutral and be ready to unify all our ranks, someone who is development oriented,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He argued that appointing a competent DCE would help achieve a better agenda for the 2016 election.<\/p>\n
