President John Dramani Mahama has terminated the appointments of two District Chief Executives(DCEs).<\/p>\n
The two, Moses Dramani Luri of Sissala West and Vivian Kunku of the Jirapa Districts respectively are to vacate their offices with immediate effect.<\/p>\n
No reason has been assigned for the decision to remove the two from office but Vivian Kunku believes that agitation by NDC Youth in the area triggered her dismissal.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”Y4BXVPaMNsaPMK2XD45VO6hWuLMVT8Bc”]But statement signed by Local Government Minister Julius Debrah indicated that the President\u2019s decision was in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(4) of the Local Government Act, (Act 462), 1993.<\/p>\n
Madam Vivian Kunku \u00a0has been at loggerheads with the NDC youth over the awarding of some contracts.<\/p>\n
