Doctors are yet to fully establish the cause of his death.<\/p>\n<p>Our thoughts and prayers and those of the wider GFA membership are with his mother Sophia Nketiah, his father Kwadwo Appiah, his family and his wide circle of friends at this sad time.<\/p>\n<p>He was regarded as one of the association\u2019s most promising up and coming referees and was highly respected by his peers.<\/p>\n<p>The GFA has been in touch with the family of referee Kyei since his passing to assure them of the federation\u2019s support in this most trying of times.<\/p>\n<p>A delegation from the Western Region Football Association\u2019s (WRFA) Executive Committee will visit the family in Prestea on Tuesday to sympathise and reveal to them the preliminary action to be taken.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the GFA has ordered the WRFA\u2019s Executive Committee to provide the full facts of what their preliminary investigation into the events surrounding Mr. Kyei\u2019s death has revealed by 5pm on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>A meeting of key stakeholders will be called by the GFA after receiving the report to examine the immediate action to be taken while the police continue with their investigations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Signed:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kwesi Nyantakyi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>President<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ghana Football Association<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was with profound regret that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) learnt of the tragic death of referee Kwame Andoh Kyei over the weekend.
