{"id":70468,"date":"2014-12-02T06:21:10","date_gmt":"2014-12-02T06:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=70468"},"modified":"2014-12-02T09:24:38","modified_gmt":"2014-12-02T09:24:38","slug":"cocaine-saga-alhaji-dawood-arrested-allegedly-aiding-nayele-ametefeh-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/12\/cocaine-saga-alhaji-dawood-arrested-allegedly-aiding-nayele-ametefeh-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Cocaine Saga: Alhaji Dawood arrested for allegedly aiding Nayele Ametefeh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alhaji Mohammed Alamid Dawood, has been arrested for allegedly aiding Nayele Ametefe and her two friends to use the VIP lounge of the Kotoka International Airport(KIA) in Accra, to transport cocaine.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;lnJESFdXhBtZorADVQNyqOeVb2KCTkoG&#8221;]The suspect, is also known as Alhaji Sani Dawudat, was arrested at the KIA at about 8: 30 pm last Sunday shortly after he arrived from Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>The Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) said the suspect is under interrogation but\u00a0\u00a0refused to disclose further information.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Daily Graphic, Alhaji Dawwod was declared wanted by the BNI after he was accused of\u00a0calling a Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Abiel Ashitey Armah, by phone to allow the ladies to use the VIP Lounge and also help them onto the tarmac to board the airline for London.<\/p>\n<p>Abiel Ashitey Armah is the officer in charge of the VVIP and VIP Unit of the KIA.<\/p>\n<p>He has since been charged, together with two others for abettment.<\/p>\n<p>Dawood&#8217;s arrest brings to 13 the number of suspects\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/11\/26\/9-arrested-cocaine-saga\/\"><strong>arrested in relation to the cocaine saga.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Abiel Ashitey Armah and two others were also dragged to court by government for allegedly assisting Nayele Ametefe to transport cocaine from Ghana to the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile investigations have revealed that Nayele and her two friends, Sadala Nuhu and Nana Akua Amponsah, both businesswomen, had used the VIP Lounge though initial information indicated that they had used the VVIP Lounge<\/p>\n<p>Nayele was busted at the Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom after about 12.kg of cocaine was found in her hand luggage.<\/p>\n<p>She has pleaded guilty to\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/11\/27\/nayele-ametefe-pleads-guilty-in-uk-court\/\"><strong>all charges levelled against her.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alhaji Mohammed Alamid Dawood, has been arrested for allegedly aiding Nayele Ametefe and her two friends to use the VIP lounge of the Kotoka International Airport(KIA) in Accra, to transport cocaine.
