Benson Entertainment Production Institute (BEPI), the music school set up by Ghanaian international performer, Stephanie Benson at Manet Court on the Spintex Road in Accra, officially opened to students last weekend.

Established last year, the school comprises of a sound recording studio, rehearsal room and a dance studio.

The facilities would be used for training the initial 12 selected girls as well as for commercial productions.

“I selected only girls because I realised the music scene is dominated by men. It is good to train more ladies to compete with the guys. They would be trained and groomed properly and I know at the end of the training period, they would have learnt a lot and perfected their acts,” she explained.

According to her the girls would be taken through vocal training, performance and also take courses in English and French.
