This move was scheduled a week ago; before the Daily Graphic wrote about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There have been speculations that government funded the renovation, but speaking on <strong>Eyewitness News,<\/strong> Deputy Minister of Water Works and Housing, Samson Ahi\u00a0stated emphatically that his Ministry had no hand in Lauretta Lamptey\u2019s bungalow renovation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reason to renovate it was solely done by management of CHRAJ , we were not part of it &#8230;we are saying we had no hand in whether or not to renovate it,\u201d Mr. Ahi\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ahi further clarified that the renovation of the bungalow was undertaken by the management of CHRAJ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom time to time, we do renovate government bungalow and in this case because management of the House is in the hands of CHRAJ we left it for them&#8230; If they had written to us that they had wanted to do the renovation, we would have asked our officials to do so and we would have given them the estimates etc but they took the decision to do it by themselves &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u201c We have nothing to do with it but if CHRAJ had contacted the technical people to do the estimates and the procurement processes etc, we would have supported them or assisted them but they did not do so&#8230;,\u201d Mr. Ahi explained.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Government has clarified \u00a0that it was not responsible for the expensive renovation of the Commissioner of Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice&#8217;s (CHRAJ) bungalow.
