“Clinical instability”<\/strong><\/div>\nReuters are reporting the latest from Jose Fornos Rodrigues – Pele’s former aide – as the Brazilian legend moving to a new wing due to “clinical instability.”<\/p>\n
The move is reportedly also to protect the three-time World champion’s privacy where he can’t be beseiged by so many visitors.<\/p>\n
“He was uncomfortable with so many people coming,” Rodrigues said.<\/p>\n
“It’ll be quieter now.”<\/strong><\/p>\nA statement from the Albert Einstein Hospital said: \u201c Edson Arantes do Nascimento (Pele) was admitted with clinical instability.<\/p>\n
“To receive the best care, he was transferred to be monitored in a special care unit.”<\/p>\n
The hope now is that things aren’t as bad as first feared.<\/p>\n
Pele is in a special care unit, and we know he has been struggling with infection, but his former personal assistant insists this move is as much to give him peace and quiet as specific treatment.<\/p>\n
The hospital’s statement doesn’t shed much light at this juncture.<\/p>\n
The hospital have revealed that the doctors responsible for the “athlete of the century” are Dr Fabio Nasri, Dr Gustavo Caserta Lemos.<\/p>\n
Dr Nasri is a leading endocrinologist who specialises in geriatric patients.<\/p>\n
Dr Lemos is a urologist, dealing mainly with maladies of the urological and reproductive system.<\/p>\n
