I want to say emphatically no [the President is not supporting me]. I have known him before he even entered politics. He is a very sincere person, a very transparent person. He\u2019s always a very fair-minded person. It\u2019s not my nature and it\u2019s not the President\u2019s nature,\u201c he told <strong>Citi News <\/strong>in an interview<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;VGA2YP3YN7DE9NEjjuvV6LzGmcqw0Gzg&#8221;]Alhaji Yahaya, who has said that he is running for the position based on merit, added that the delegates of the party should elect people based on their competence and their commitment to the party\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would not want unfair means to contest because I want the best for the party. So we should all come out, tell the people of the party what we want to do and what we can do and let the people make their fair judgment. That is what will help the party,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I am not the right person please if you love the party, don\u2019t put me there. All I am asking for is that we give party what it deserves \u00a0\u00a0for us all to be able to push the party the next four years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NDC\u2019s national delegates\u2019 congress is scheduled to take place on December 13, however, <strong>Citi News<\/strong> understands that <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/11\/26\/ndc-congress-likely-to-be-postponed-again\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>it may be postponed to December 20<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If confirmed, this will be the second time the party\u2019s congress has had to be moved <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/10\/13\/ndc-postpones-national-delegates-congress\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>after the original October 25 date had to be moved<\/strong><\/span><\/a> when a lawsuit was filed against the party by an aggrieved member.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Edwin Kwakofi\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A National Chairman aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Huudu Yahaya has rubbished claims that he is receiving support from President John Dramani Mahama for his bid for the position.
