{"id":68411,"date":"2014-11-25T11:16:52","date_gmt":"2014-11-25T11:16:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=68411"},"modified":"2014-11-25T15:26:04","modified_gmt":"2014-11-25T15:26:04","slug":"bimbila-murdered-chiefs-family-scolds-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/11\/bimbila-murdered-chiefs-family-scolds-police\/","title":{"rendered":"Bimbila murdered chief\u2019s family scolds police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The angry family of the late murdered Bimbila chief, Naa Andani Dasana Abdulai II, say they no longer trust the police capacity to protect their lives and property.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This comes at the back of the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/11\/22\/police-arrest-five-persons-bimbilla-carrying-illegal-arms\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>recent arrest of five suspects who allegedly possessed illegal weapons<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the family Spokesperson, Osman Kikaa, the Gbugmayili Royals have since the murder of the Bimbila chief doubted the police neutrality in handling the protracted Bimbila chieftaincy dispute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;vDx8smrXbsFez9EKiSr01cXHgahRRZf2&#8243;]He asserted that the life of the current Regent of Nanung Traditional Area, Yakubu Andani Dasana is in danger.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe life of the Regent now has continuously been threatened and we have since put this before the police and no arrest has since been made to that effect: you want us to sit down like that for them to come and kill him again? Osman Kikaa asked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He lambasted the police administration in Bimbila saying, \u201cWe have lost confidence in the police: the police administration and for that matter the leadership of the police Commander ASP Abanga in Bimbila.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He fumed, \u201cHe does not deserve any applaud and does not deserve any credit for this unlawful exercise conducted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Osman Kikaa challenged the police to be proactive in responding to early warning signals in identified hotspots in the Northern Region including Bimbila Township.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIndeed if the police needed any kind of applause from Ghanaians then their duty would have been to protect the man who was murdered under their care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Residents of Bimbila Township <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/27\/curfew-on-bimbilla-towship-renewed\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>have been subjected to curfew by the Ministry of Interior<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This followed the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/06\/26\/bimbila-naa-andani-finally-laid-to-rest\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>gruesome murder of the late Bimbila chief<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, Naa Andani Dasana Abdulai II on June 19, 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Worried residents of Bimbila attributed the unfortunate incident to security lapses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The police are yet to apprehend murderers of the late Naa Andani Dasana Abdulai II.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The angry family of the late murdered Bimbila chief, Naa Andani Dasana Abdulai II, say they no longer trust the police capacity to protect their lives and property.
