A labour Analyst, Austin Gamey has described that the demonstration by some workers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to compel government to reinstate their former Managing Director<\/strong><\/a><\/span> as unnecessary.<\/p>\n He said they should have petitioned the president instead of staging the demonstration.<\/p>\n \u201cI appreciate their difficulties but if they had written to the president for instance and say they are appealing to reconsider the decision, that would have been fine. That shows a lot of respect, but to insist and demonstrating and leaving their work like something that have been planned in virtually all the areas is most disturbing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”Vymxp8IcmyEw9Dy3moVbV0eqrxZRPfKQ”]He opined that the demonstration of the workers have \u201crather aggravated the situation for the man,\u201d adding that \u201cI think that this is most disturbing and whoever advised that they should do what they are doing did not help matters at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
