Residents of some suburbs in Accra have been on rampage blocking roads and destroying properties owned by the Electricity Corporation of Ghana over the persistent power cuts in their neighbourhood.

First it was residents from Lapaz-Tabora, who on Sunday afternoon blocked roads and destroyed properties at the Kwashieman power station.

The residents reportedly destroyed a polytank and also nearly assaulted the security man at the station.

The Citi Breakfast Show on Monday, November, 17th, 2014 focused on the issue.
