{"id":64979,"date":"2014-11-14T05:00:42","date_gmt":"2014-11-14T05:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=64979"},"modified":"2014-11-13T21:35:33","modified_gmt":"2014-11-13T21:35:33","slug":"vodafone-icon-finalists-educational-musical-tour-sa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/11\/vodafone-icon-finalists-educational-musical-tour-sa\/","title":{"rendered":"Vodafone Icon finalists on an educational musical tour in SA \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of Vodafone\u2019s commitment to empower its music Icons, Vodafone Ghana has taken a ground-breaking step, never before seen in Ghana and has flown the five Vodafone Icon finalists to South Africa for an inspiring educational musical tour.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Agnes Emefa Essah,\u00a0 said, \u201cthis year\u2019s Icons Remix competition is driven by Vodafone\u2019s commitment to empower musically talented people to reach new heights in the music industry by providing them with experience, international exposure and tutorship required to succeed in the music industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As such this year\u2019s competition is switched up in line with the \u2018Remix Edition\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The five finalists, Cena, Chris, Titi, Ratty and Alice, left Ghana for South Africa on Thursday 6 November, 2014 and are currently on their South Africa musical tour, during which they will visit Johannesburg, Pretoria and Sandton.<\/p>\n<p>The Icons finalists will have the opportunity to meet and interact with luminaries of the South African music industry, including, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, the popular South African musician who made famous the song \u201cThank You Mister DJ\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Icons finalists will also be guests at the Big Brother Live Show on Sunday 9 November, 2014 with the tour climaxing at a visit to the world renowned Universal Record studios for some final mentoring in anticipation of the grand final in Accra on Saturday 29 November, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The Icons will land in Accra on Wednesday 12 November, 2014 enlightened, empowered and rearing to campaign for their place as the Vodafone Icon for 2014.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: Vodafone Ghana<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of Vodafone\u2019s commitment to empower its music Icons, Vodafone Ghana has taken a ground-breaking step, never before seen in Ghana and has flown the five Vodafone Icon finalists to South Africa for an inspiring educational musical tour.
