The leaders of West African countries that make up the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) have begun arriving in the country for an extraordinary session.<\/p>\n
The sub-regional bloc is expected to discuss the current political situation in Burkina Faso, following the resignation of President Blaise Compaore<\/span><\/a><\/strong> and the subsequent military take over, with ECOWAS chairman President John Dramani Mahama set to brief the gathering on the situation following his visit to the country<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on Wednesday to assess its current status.<\/p>\n
