{"id":59721,"date":"2014-10-27T05:52:13","date_gmt":"2014-10-27T05:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=59721"},"modified":"2014-10-27T05:52:13","modified_gmt":"2014-10-27T05:52:13","slug":"man-crashes-to-death-from-telecom-mast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/10\/man-crashes-to-death-from-telecom-mast\/","title":{"rendered":"Man crashes to death from telecom mast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man believed to be in his thirties has jumped to his death from a telecommunication mast behind the Navrongo District Police Station in the Upper East region.<\/p>\n<p>The body of the man, whose name is yet to be identified, has since been deposited at the Navrongo War Memorial Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Narrating the incident to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the Navrongo District Police Commander, ASP Abdul Latif Nbonwura said \u201cat about 2 pm a young man who is about thirty was seen on top of a 120 wireless mast situated behind the Navrango District Police Station shouting I want to die, I want to die.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;sdFSMCZlKh3554zsbavyGPewIxvJULS5&#8243;]He said \u201cefforts were made to calm him down or rescue him but all proved futile.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c At a point he jumped from the top to the ground and when he was sent to the hospital he died.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ASP Abdul said \u201cthe body is now at the Navrongo memorial hospital pending post mortem examination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a0World Health Organization\u2019s in its first global report on suicide prevention, revealed that <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/06\/over-800-000-people-commit-suicide-annually-who\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>more than 800,000 people die<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>by suicide every year.<\/p>\n<p>It said more men die by suicide than women in richer countries, three times as many men die by suicide than women.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man believed to be in his thirties has jumped to his death from a telecommunication mast behind the Navrongo District Police Station in the Upper East region.
