{"id":59619,"date":"2014-10-27T15:07:15","date_gmt":"2014-10-27T15:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=59619"},"modified":"2014-10-27T15:07:15","modified_gmt":"2014-10-27T15:07:15","slug":"avalavi-jhs-to-get-new-classroom-block","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/10\/avalavi-jhs-to-get-new-classroom-block\/","title":{"rendered":"Avalavi JHS to get new classroom block"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The people of Avalavi, a town in the Ketu North District Assembly are to benefit from a 3-unit classroom block to help improve the basic education in the area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new block which will also have ancillary facilities is being funded from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) MP&#8217;s allocation of the common fund.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Member of Parliament,\u00a0 James Klutse Avedzi, who is also the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Finance, said the initiative forms part of his commitment to improving on educational facilities in the District as well as encourage residents to value education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;oSZwoTBbUZVKTpG7ob6s1FW26g9bAEze&#8221;]The school block is to provide a modern classroom facility for pupils of Avalavi Junior High School, who currently hold classes in a dilapidated school block that had not seen major renovations for many years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">James Klutse told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> that part of the money would also be used to ensure that the old school block gets a modern outlook.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u201cThey don\u2019t have a facility for junior high school so they have been putting pressure on me all the time. Fortunately I got the cheque few days ago which was paid into the districts GETFUND account so I\u2019m hoping that by next week the cheque goes through.
