{"id":5960,"date":"2014-03-13T13:57:46","date_gmt":"2014-03-13T13:57:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=5960"},"modified":"2014-03-13T13:57:46","modified_gmt":"2014-03-13T13:57:46","slug":"rlg-govt-breached-contract-ue-disabled-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/03\/rlg-govt-breached-contract-ue-disabled-society\/","title":{"rendered":"RLG, gov\u2019t breached contract &#8211; U\/E disabled society"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/rlg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5975\" alt=\"rlg\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/rlg.jpg\" width=\"199\" height=\"123\" \/><\/a>The Ghana Society of the physically disabled\u00a0in the Upper East Region have accused managers of the ICT training project initiated by government in collaboration with RLG Communications of breach of contract.<\/p>\n<p>The Society says the project which was \u00a0launched in august 2012 was supposed to equip the physically challenged persons with skills and logistics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Citi News\u2019<\/strong> Upper East Regional correspondent, Frederick Awuni who has been following the situation reported that \u201cthe disabled graduates who went through the six months training are yet to be given a start up support and logistics promised them as part of the programme.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Upper East project manager of the society, David Awuni complained that the graduates are idle as they have no means of livelihood.<\/p>\n<p>They were promised repair jobs with public institutions \u00a0for a fee but one year on, the promised has not been fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>Frederick Awuni also reported that \u201call the participants who took part in the 2012 programme have no jobs because a lot of them were selected with no basic educational background.
