{"id":590,"date":"2014-02-17T15:36:20","date_gmt":"2014-02-17T15:36:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citi.hatuasolutions.com\/?p=590"},"modified":"2014-02-17T15:36:20","modified_gmt":"2014-02-17T15:36:20","slug":"npp-vetting-disqualified-aspirants-file-appeal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/02\/npp-vetting-disqualified-aspirants-file-appeal\/","title":{"rendered":"NPP Vetting: Disqualified aspirants file appeal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/citi.hatuasolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/52f121a9d5204180996e4002c639b6b7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-644 alignright\" alt=\"NPP\" src=\"http:\/\/citi.hatuasolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/52f121a9d5204180996e4002c639b6b7-300x190.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a>Some disqualified aspirants of the New Patr<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">iotic Party (NPP) have filed appeals challenging their disqualification by the party\u2019s Vetting Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The five aspirants, Fred Amakwah Sarfo, Hajia Fatima, and Philomena Serwah Akoto (who were all vying for Vice-Chairmanship positions), Kamal Abdulai (who was contesting for Nasara Coordinator) and Charles Adu Gyamfi (who was vying for the position of Youth Organiser) were disqualified.<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>\u2019 correspondent, Sammy Wiafe, two people have so far filed the appeal to question their disqualification<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr Fred Amankwah Sarfo who is going for the position of Vice Chairman and Mr Abudullai who is going for the NASARA Coordinator filed the appeal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Citi News, one of the disqualified candidates, Fred Amankwah, said he was confident that the appeal that he had filed will go through successfully, adding that the party will reinstate him to the position that he is vying for.<\/p>\n<p>By the close of Monday, other aspirants will also file the appeal to question their disqualification by the party\u2019s committee<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some disqualified aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have filed appeals challenging their disqualification by the party\u2019s Vetting Committee.
