{"id":58986,"date":"2014-10-23T17:33:47","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T17:33:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=58986"},"modified":"2014-10-23T18:20:57","modified_gmt":"2014-10-23T18:20:57","slug":"cj-receives-petition-to-remove-chraj-boss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/10\/cj-receives-petition-to-remove-chraj-boss\/","title":{"rendered":"CJ receives petition to remove CHRAJ Boss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood has received the petition demanding the removal of the Commissioner of Commission on Human Rights and Adminstrative Justice (CHRAJ), Lauretta Lamptey.<\/p>\n<p>This was confirmed by the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Mr. Frank Annor Dompreh.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;q5IYzcn4ypNizvdNtuhjZLuBFuidqwKQ&#8221;]President Mahama, early this month, directed the Chief Justice, Georgina Wood to investigate the Commissioner after Mr. Annor Dompreh \u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/23\/mp-begins-process-to-remove-chraj-boss\/\"><strong>submitted a petition for her removal<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The Commissioner was accused of spending about<a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/16\/chraj-boss-accused-of-wasting-180000-on-rent\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong> $200,000 on rent alone within three years.<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Her action prompted various groups and individuals to call for her dismissal.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing from\u00a0Article 146, Article 288, Annoh-Dompreh argued that \u201cit is clear and unambiguous and so if there is supposed to be any investigation by the Auditor General, it will still not undermine or discount a petition submitted to the presidency.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17359\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17359\" style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/79616285_104332.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17359\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/79616285_104332.jpg\" alt=\"Chief Justice Mrs Georgina T.
