{"id":57989,"date":"2014-10-20T16:43:50","date_gmt":"2014-10-20T16:43:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=57989"},"modified":"2014-10-20T16:43:50","modified_gmt":"2014-10-20T16:43:50","slug":"this-is-the-best-time-to-invest-in-africa-obasanjo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/10\/this-is-the-best-time-to-invest-in-africa-obasanjo\/","title":{"rendered":"This is the best time to invest in Africa-Obasanjo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo has urged investors to take advantage of investment opportunities in Africa now or regret later.<\/p>\n<p>According to him \u201dthose who do not go into the terrain now will be missing an opportunity because they will not have this opportunity again\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former Nigerian President was speaking at the ongoing Global African Investment Summit in London which he chaired and opened this morning.<\/p>\n<p>The summit is seeking to direct funds from some of the world\u2019s largest institutional investors into quality projects across the continent, with a focus on Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda, whose Presidents opened the summit this morning at the Savoy hotel in London.<\/p>\n<p>Olusegun Obasanjo promised investors that their investments will have good returns.<\/p>\n<p>He however warned that old negative practices will no longer be tolerated in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>According to him Africa is looking for investments that will create jobs for the youth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want the best technology, cheap funds so as to benefit our citizens, we also want you to source locally\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former President adds Africa wants reliable partners, structured projects that will be sustainable and by world standards.<\/p>\n<p>By: Vivian Kai Mensah\/citifmonline.com\/London,UK<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo has urged investors to take advantage of investment opportunities in Africa now or regret later.
