"Police"Five of the seven suspected Nima youth who allegedly attacked the Kotobabi police station on February 25, 2014 were on Wednesday March 12, 2014 granted bail.

The Human Rights Division of an Accra High Court at the Cocoa Affairs building room 11 granted bail to Ibrahim Amadu, Abdullah Musah, Salifu Suraku, Alex Kwaw and Samuel Homadzi.

However, they were expected to produce indenture worth GHC 20,000 each before their final release to reunite with their families.

They were refused bail when they first appeared in a Circuit court in Accra and their lawyers subsequently filed a bail application in the Human Rights court of the Accra High court.

All of them were reported to have attacked some police officers at the Kotobabi police station over the murder of their colleague called Saddam Abdulai who was found dead in a nightclub at Asylum Down, Accra.

They accused the police of killing the deceased whom they claimed was not guilty of any crime.

One of them, Aliu Sulemana who was allegedly manhandled by the police during their arrest was admitted in the hospital.
