{"id":5696,"date":"2014-03-12T15:27:27","date_gmt":"2014-03-12T15:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=5696"},"modified":"2014-03-12T15:27:27","modified_gmt":"2014-03-12T15:27:27","slug":"govt-must-investigate-jake-nana-akomea-young-democrats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/03\/govt-must-investigate-jake-nana-akomea-young-democrats\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov\u2019t must investigate Jake, Nana Akomea &#8211; Young Democrats"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_5700\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5700\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/akomea.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5700\" alt=\"Nana Akomea\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/akomea.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"262\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5700\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nana Akomea<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A National Democratic Congress (NDC) pressure group, the Young Democrats is urging government to be bold and investigate some leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for various alleged acts of corruption.<\/p>\n<p>They include the NPP national chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and former communications director of the party, Nana Akomea.<\/p>\n<p>They cited Mr. Lamptey\u2019s involvement in the management of the stadium disaster donations, whilst citing Nana Akomea in the recent Ghana Youth Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency\u00a0(GYEEDA) sacndal.<\/p>\n<p>The call comes on the back of recent comments by the two on how the NDC government is mismanaging the affairs of the nation.<\/p>\n<p>The group says considering that the two individuals have in recent times been the harshest critics of government in relation to matters of corruption, there is the need for government to investigate them on those allegations.<\/p>\n<p>The Research Director of the Young Democrats, David Kumi told <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, said: \u201cNana Akomea was in charge of GYEEDA, then NYEP.
