Abraham Atta Bosompem who confirmed this to <strong>citifmonline.com<\/strong> said the ECG is demanding one thousand cedis or two thirds of their debt to restore power to the assembly<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not new, even KMA owes light bills, we would pay it,\u201dAtta Bosempem said.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time the ECG has disconnected electricity supply.<\/p>\n<p>Electricity supply to the new premises of the Judgement Debt Commission, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/10\/09\/ecg-disconnects-judgement-debt-commission\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>was disconnected over a GH\u20b5 90,000 unpaid bill.<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Due to the disconnection, the Commission\u2019s sitting was delayed for almost two hours, to enable them fix the Commission\u2019s standby generator.<\/p>\n<p>The failure on the part of some electricity consumers to pay their bills in 2013, for instance, cost the ECG about <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/10\/ecg-loses-12-4-revenue-through-non-payment-of-bills\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>12.40 per cent of its annual revenue.<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Atiewen Mohammed\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has disconnected the electricity supply to the Asunafo South District Assembly in the Brong Ahafo Region for non-payment of bills.
