Amoah said the act contradicts the rules governing the elections of a presidential candidate for the party.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;joXL19406jme3uHqYd7RMq0mqGqc8RaZ&#8221;]During the party&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/08\/31\/super-delegates-congress-successful-afoko\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>Super Delegates Congress<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in August, confusion broke out at some polling stations where delegates were caught by the EC, after taking photos of\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/08\/31\/confusion-rocks-npp-congress-in-tamale\/\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">their thumb-printed ballots<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0to confirm their loyalty to a candidate.<\/p>\n<p>O.B Amoah said: \u201cWe have put out the rules and guidelines for elections, we\u2019ve sent these guidelines to all the regions and constituencies. And indeed the EC too has come out with Dos and Don\u2019ts and they\u2019ve made it very clear that nobody is allowed to show his ballot as how he voted and also to take a picture of how he voted. We\u2019ve also sent out the guidelines and these should be enough. Indeed the EC is saying that if you go ahead to show how you voted, your vote will be nullified. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three candidates will be contesting \u00a0the party\u2019s presidential candidate on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The three are the 2012 presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo,\u00a0 former minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyermaten and the party\u2019s Member of Parliament for Asante Mampong, Francis Addai Nimo.<\/p>\n<p>Nana Akufo-Addo won the Super Delegates Congress with about <strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/08\/31\/nana-addo-rolls-to-easy-victory-with-81-28-of-votes\/\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">80 percent of total valid votes cast<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> in August.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Nana Ama Agyemang Asante\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Delegates who display their ballot papers after choosing their favorite candidate at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) national congress on Saturday will have their votes nullified.
