The main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has warned the media against declaring the results of the October 18 flagbearer elections.<\/p>\n
The party said the authority to declare the winner of the party\u2019s polls has solely been vested in the Electoral Commission(EC)<\/p>\n
\u201cThe EC will declare the winner of the elections, hopefully by 10 pm. We urge the Media and party members not to declare the winner until the EC does,\u201d a member of the Election Committee of the party, OB Amoah said.<\/p>\n
He further revealed that the necessary measures have been put in place to ensure a smooth election.<\/p>\n

The aspirants\u00a0 contesting for the flagbear slot are Nana Akufo Addo, Alan Kyeremanten, and Francis Addai Nimoh.<\/p>\n
