{"id":55997,"date":"2014-10-13T19:06:27","date_gmt":"2014-10-13T19:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=55997"},"modified":"2014-10-14T06:41:29","modified_gmt":"2014-10-14T06:41:29","slug":"fix-adaklu-roads-nadmo-coordinator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/10\/fix-adaklu-roads-nadmo-coordinator\/","title":{"rendered":"Fix Adaklu roads &#8211; NADMO coordinator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Weeks after <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/22\/floods-submerge-adaklu\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">a devastating rain completely cut of the District capital of Adaklu<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> from neighbouring communities rendering scores of residents homeless, the district coordinator of \u00a0the\u00a0National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) \u00a0is calling on government to fix road network in the district\u00a0to avert such occurrences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Mr Frank Todzro the Adaklu District NADMO coordinator, in spite of\u00a0a promise by\u00a0late president, Prof Evans Atta Mills, to improve the roads in the area,\u00a0roads linking the district capital Waya have never seen any major engineering works.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Roads linking Waya-Mafi-Kumasi, Waya- Ziope Akatsi , and Waya-Agotime Kpetoe are in deplorable and life threatening state he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;P68qeZVBrerqLUxgTlZbgnsJI7Vzb2yO&#8221;]&#8221;The challenge we have here is the nature of the road, that doesn\u2019t mean that when the roads are constructed, we would not have floods but for Adaklu we have peculiar case; If the roads were constructed, access to the capital could be at ease even during the flood.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The recent of such rains, flooded homes with the major roads submerged in the flood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The district capital Waya was cut off completely from neighbouring communities that depend on her for foodstuffs and other agriculture produce.
