{"id":55745,"date":"2014-10-13T05:45:03","date_gmt":"2014-10-13T05:45:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=55745"},"modified":"2014-10-13T05:43:04","modified_gmt":"2014-10-13T05:43:04","slug":"chraj-boss-petition-mp-seeks-confirmation-from-cj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/10\/chraj-boss-petition-mp-seeks-confirmation-from-cj\/","title":{"rendered":"CHRAJ boss petition: MP seeks confirmation from CJ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency, Frank Annor Dompreh, who petitioned President Mamaha over the alleged misappropriation of funds by the CHRAJ boss,\u00a0has said he will \u00a0inquire whether the Chief Justice has indeed received his petition from the President.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Annor Dompreh, in September <a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/23\/mp-begins-process-to-remove-chraj-boss\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>submitted a petition for the removal<\/strong><\/span><\/a> of the Commissioner of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ),\u00a0Lauretta Lamptey after it was revealed that she had\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/16\/chraj-boss-accused-of-wasting-180000-on-rent\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>spent about $180,000 on rent alone<\/strong><\/span><\/a> within three years.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;Y28occDv4D2lZTOaD6SqsAEw7py1T816&#8243;]Last Saturday, the President directed the Chief Justice, Georgina Woode<a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/10\/11\/investigate-chraj-boss-mahama-tells-chief-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong> to investigate the claims<\/strong><\/span><\/a> made against madam Lamptey.<\/p>\n<p>However, Mr. Annoh Dompreh says he is yet to receive an official notice from the presidency on the said move by the President.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the MP said\u00a0the petition should have been &#8220;forwarded to the Chief Justice long long ago.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In law there&#8217;s something called reasonable time. But it&#8217;s better late than never.
