The camp of Alhaji Hudu Yahaya who is vying for the position of National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),\u00a0has said they are unperturbed by the open show of\u00a0 support \u00a0by some national executives for incumbent chairman Dr Kwabena Adjei.<\/p>\n
At the campaign launch for Dr. Kwabena Adjei on Wednesday,\u00a0the General Secretary of party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, subtly threw his weight behind Dr Kwabena Adjei<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, ahead of the party\u2019s upcoming congress.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”skJhI25bCPRvV9jtYfM57Ee0bMXOHbnp”]According to Asideu Nketia, Dr Adjei has a proven track record of discharging diligently, duties assigned him, adding that he has had a long standing relationship with Dr Adjei \u201ceven before he became the National Chairman and it will continue even after his chairmanship.\u201d<\/p>\n But the spokesperson for Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, Mutawakil Rawbil, said their message of \u201crevival of the ideology\u201d and \u00a0the spirit of solidarity of the party has been widely accepted by the delegates, whose mandate it will be to elect the national chairman of the party at the party’s upcoming congress.<\/p>\n Mutawakil Rawbil\u00a0told Citi News<\/b> that\u00a0the position of national chairman \u201cis about call to service and dedication and duty and not about an individual and what he has done in the past.\u201d.<\/p>\n Apart from the incumbent Dr. Kwabena Adjei, Hudu Yahaya would also have to deal with competition from\u00a0<\/span>Kofi Portuphy<\/span><\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization, and <\/span>Dan Kwasi Abodakpi<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, former Ghana\u2019s Ambassador to Malaysia and former Member of Parliament for Keta.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
