Estimates show that it will take about six more months before health-care officials can contain the Ebola outbreak in the three worst affected countries, the Deputy Regional Director of \u00a0World Health Organizatio (WHO), Dr. Matshidiso Moeti, has said.<\/p>\n
Speaking exclusively to citifmonline.com<\/strong>, \u00a0Dr. Moeti said it is possible to contain the disease but it will take more resources and time.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”gUZQwBBrvBNq2k2pbKexP0nkqEDpcaA1″]<\/strong>\u201cI think there are estimates that it could take another six months, it will take some months, even with what we have now, we have pledges of support. We have \u00a0very substantial \u00a0pledges, especially of financial pledges. \u00a0And we also have on the ground, health-care workers from western countries, people who capable, particularly the military, these people who \u00a0have the experience and the capacity to set up infrastructure extremely quickly. And this starting to happen now.”<\/p>\n The WHO has declared Ebola\u00a0 entrenched in the capitals of the worst-affected states<\/span><\/a> <\/strong><\/span>– Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n
