Dear sir,

While you were away Mr. President, the biggest issue, was the controversy the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) was involved in.

The CHRAJ boss, Lauretta Lamtey was reported to have spent $200,000 on rent and utility tariffs because her official bungalow was being renovated.

Subsequently, two petitions have been submitted to your office calling for her removal.

These petitions though, are still lying at the Flagstaff House.

[contextly_sidebar id=”h0gh58KiKuC4ZAJAZ1KKnI6n6wXaFp31″]Per the dictates of the constitution, you are the only one mandated to take action on the matter.

From an ordinary man’s perspective, it is not a huge task. Just forward the petition to the Chief Justice for some kind of assessment and a recommendation.

From members of Parliament to pressure groups, different colours of petitions lie on your desk with a single theme: Take Back Our Lauretta.

Again, in your absence Mr. President, there was talk about your continuous stay in the official accommodation of your Vice, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.

This has led to some problems because your vice lives in an accommodation not designated for his office and this trickles down…

You know they can’t say a word because of obvious reasons.

Also, sir, the National Identification Authority announced that the photographs they took and the field work they carried out to create the GhanaCards in 2010 had gone to waste. If you have not heard, they are going for a $115 million loan to print new biometric cards for us.

The flack you received on their behalf is enough to kick you out of government in 2016.

Please may I request that crack the whip … Thank you!

I cannot end without mentioning this to you the National Service Scheme.

They were also in the news. There were some interdictions and arrests here and there.

There’s confusion as to whether you tasked the BNI to carry out the investigations or not. Whatever the case, the rot there smells really bad. I’m sure you’re smelling it too. We are waiting to see or hear something from you sir.

The much anticipated IMF meetings continued while you were away too. They really talked-tough in their final press statement.

But industry watchers say the points they made after the 10 day meeting aren’t any different from what our local experts have been saying. That’s not my concern really, its the cash. When is it coming?

And oh, just a reminder if you have forgotten, the deadline you gave to your MMDCEs for our streets to be named has elapsed.

I quite remember you saying their reappointment or continuous stay in office would be tied to their delivery on the street naming project.

Some streets have been named, I must admit. But most have not, even though they claim they have named almost all.

May we know what the next line of action is sir? These are just a few of the things Ghanaians are waiting for you to take some drastic decisions on.

…a gentle reminder.
