{"id":54030,"date":"2014-10-07T10:11:16","date_gmt":"2014-10-07T10:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=54030"},"modified":"2014-10-07T10:36:06","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T10:36:06","slug":"17-year-old-wins-miss-dzodze-beauty-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/10\/17-year-old-wins-miss-dzodze-beauty-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"17-year old wins Miss Dzodze beauty contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Miss Portia Besseh a 17-year-old first year\u00a0student of Anloga Secondary School (ANSECO) was on Friday adjudged the winner of this year\u2019s Mama Deza of the people of Dzodze Traditional Area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event which saw eight beautiful ladies contesting for the ultimate crown had the youngest among them walked away as the Queen for this year\u2019s festival.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Despite the black out and the rains which characterised the night, citizens and their visitors defied the odds to attend the event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A host of musicians; thrilled the audiences with various performances.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">20 year old past student of Dzodze Secondary School, Patience Agyemang and the 18-year-old final year student of the same school were adjudged first and second runner up respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The excited queen said her focus would be on sanitation issues in the ketu north district capital. \u2018\u2019As the country is battling with the cholera outbreak now, I would pay more attention on sanitation in our area to bring a lasting solution to this annual ritual\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The pageant show which is one of the highpoints of the annual Deza festival by the people of Dzodze is aimed at celebrating womanhood and projecting the culture of the people.
