The Vice President of Ghana, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has expressed optimism that the country\u2019s economy will continue \u00a0to improve in the next few months.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Muslims in Takoradi\u00a0 during the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha on Saturday, the Vice President admitted that the country\u2019s economy has struggled this year, he stated that the government has put measures in place to improve it; some of which he says are beginning to produce positive results.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDuring the past few months, the conditions in our economy have weakened, but we are making efforts to reverse the trends we are seeing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”Wut9i6WSRJXAZBvabS3VsVzXdJbMoP2s”]The cedi, after depreciating up 40% against major international trading currencies has, in recent weeks <\/span>seen some stability<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and <\/span>gained some ground<\/span><\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This development\u00a0<\/span>according\u00a0to Amissah-Arthur is indicative of the positive impact of government measures.<\/span><\/p>\n
