{"id":52754,"date":"2014-10-01T14:00:09","date_gmt":"2014-10-01T14:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=52754"},"modified":"2014-10-01T13:03:11","modified_gmt":"2014-10-01T13:03:11","slug":"well-give-hoezame-a-fair-hearing-if-npp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/10\/well-give-hoezame-a-fair-hearing-if-npp\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;ll give Hoezame a fair hearing if&#8230; &#8211; NPP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said it will ensure a former Constituency Chair of the Party, David Hoezame, receives a fair hearing if he decides to seek redress on his challenges with constitution of the party\u2019s National Council.<\/p>\n<p>A Fast Track High Court on Tuesday ordered<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/09\/30\/court-orders-hoezame-to-use-npp-grievance-structures\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong> Mr. Hoezame to use the grievance channels<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span> within the party to resolve his issues after he had \u00a0dragged the party to court for breaching its constitution over the composition of its National Council .<\/p>\n<p>In his suit, he said the<span style=\"color: #666699;\">\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2014\/06\/19\/former-npp-chairman-sues-party\/\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\">current national executives had breached the NPP constitution<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0by purporting to call for and take part in the deliberations of the Council without reconstituting it after they were elected into office in April 2014.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;6WKHDjm4ZYe0OuphN6xgnaphGPY2RzOb&#8221;]The party had insisted Hoezame failed to adhere to the constitution of the NPP which states how grievances by members of the party should be dealt with.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawyer for the NPP, Godfred Dame, the case was frivolous and lacked merit.<\/p>\n<p>The court said, he could return to court to seek redress if the party\u2019s channels fails to address his issues.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, first vice chairman of the party, Freddie Blay said the party owes every member a fair hearing when they have genuine grievances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe shouldn\u2019t close the door completely against genuine greivance but the question is how will do you know some grievance will be genuine or based on good grounds?
