A claimant to the Aflao paramount stool, Torgbui Afla Detu, has been granted bail by a Ho high court.<\/p>\n
The court, presided over by Justice Patick Baayeh, granted Torgbui Afla bail at a cost of GHC30,000 with two sureties; and one needs to be justified.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”r45Lk2ED2fXj1pNYq8feSFfO4kplxeHE”]In addition he is expected to sign a bond, promising that he will not perform any public ceremony in Aflao and its environs for the next three months, and if there is any breach, he would be imprisoned for 90 days.<\/p>\n
Torgbui Afla Detu\u00a0was arrested when\u00a0some of his family members attempted to outdoor him<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0as the paramount chief of the area to replace\u00a0Torgbui Amenya Fiti.<\/p>\n \u00a0He was later\u00a0arrested and put before the Ho High court<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and charged for offensive conduct, and organizing a public event without recourse to the public order act.<\/p>\n The action also infuriated the <\/span>youth of the area who demonstrated<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on the streets, erected road blocks and burnt tyres to show their anger.<\/span><\/p>\n
