At a point, I got out of my car and said they should kill me and one of them came and was trying to pull me down. I resisted and he used his hand to slap my right eye. I drove to one Abudu Gana\u2019s place and they pursued me there apparently trying to kill me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Citi News sources at the Sissala East District Police Command disclosed that the incident compelled the District Security Council (DISEC) to convene an emergency meeting on Tuesday, 4th March 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The Sissala East constituency organizer of the NDC, Mahama Razak told Citi News, the concerns of the constituency executives have been neglected for far too long by the president and some leading members of the NDC who want to force the rejected DCE on the district for their personal gains at expense of the district.<\/p>\n<p>He said the district has been lagging behind in terms of development, adding \u201cany attempt to force the rejected DCE on us will further aggravate the development challenges currently facing the district\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Sissala East district is the only one out of the eleven districts in the Upper West Region that has been without a DCE since the beginning of the Mahama-led administration.<\/p>\n<p>Assembly members in October last year out rightly rejected Moses Bavia, the President\u2019s nominee; a decision most people attributed to long standing disagreements between the MP of the area Alijata Sulemana and the constituency executives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Mahama Latif\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tension is brewing at Tumu, the capital of the Sissala East District following the continuous delay by President John Mahama to nominate a District Chief Executive for the area.
